How teen therapy works
Teens need a space that feels like theirs. At the first session we'll talk with you and your teen about how we work together, including what stays between your teen and their therapist and what we share with parents. Safety always comes first. Parents are part of the process, and many families find a few parent check-ins make a big difference.
Play therapy for younger kids
Younger children often express themselves best through play. Elizabeth Hail uses child-centered play therapy, video game assisted play therapy, and expressive arts.

Frequently asked questions
Does my teen have to want to come?
It helps, but it isn't required. Many teens are hesitant at first and warm up once they realize their therapist is on their side.
Will I know what my teen talks about?
We'll explain our privacy guidelines at the first visit. Generally, teens share more when they know their sessions are private, and we always tell parents about safety concerns.
Do you see kids younger than 13?
Yes.
