GROUPS & EVENTS

Teen LGBTQIA + Ally Support GROUP
This group is for queer teens and any ally looking for an uplifting community and positive vibes! Many (if not most) teens feel alone and misunderstood, and queer teens in particular are at risk of lacking a supportive community. Join us Wednesday evenings for fun activities centered around reducing stress, increasing emotion regulation skills, and self-acceptance, self-compassion, and empowerment. Our goal is for teens to leave this group with an awareness of their values, recognition of their many strengths, and an assortment of coping skills. The heart of this group is its safe, affirming environment. Bring your big emotions, wear comfy clothes, and come prepared for some exploration

Adult DBT Skills GROUP
All our groups are led my trained, experienced, and licensed - or in training to be licensed - professionals. All are closely monitored, and supervised and consult with Dr. Stephanie Waitt. GROUP KAP THERAPY
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is an emergent modality that uses an altered state induced by ketamine to help patients deepen their work in psychotherapy. KAP is often done one-on-one with a therapist, but in that format, patients do not have a community of peers to rely on for support. Group KAP can be an opportunity to do so, while also advancing individual goals. While group KAP is not a replacement for individual KAP, it is a different modality with its own unique benefits. All group members will need to be connected to another mental health resource (ex: therapist, psychiatrist, coach, group therapy etc). The group facilitators will speak with you individually to make sure this modality is appropriate

HYGGE Womens Self-Care Workshop
Brief Summary of Event:
Hygge is “a quality of cosiness (feeling warm, comfortable, and safe) that comes from doing simple things such as lighting candles, baking, or spending time at home with your family.” I also really like the following definition: “the absence of anything annoying or emotionally overwhelming; taking pleasure from the presence of gentle, soothing things”, according to the land of Nord.
As the days get darker and colder and busier you find you want to feel love and connected. You want to feel cozy and we have this social event to help you deal with your seasonal affective disorder, and learn the art of coziness - how to care for yourself and how to let other people care for you too.
