Fees, Insurance & Payment Options

Starting therapy is a big step, and money shouldn't be the thing that stops you. Here's exactly how payment works at Texoma Specialty Counseling, so there are no surprises.

Insurance we accept

We are in-network with:

  • Aetna

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (PPO plans)

  • Cigna

  • UnitedHealthcare / Optum

Every plan is a little different. Before your first session, call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask about your outpatient mental health benefits: there you will find your copay or coinsurance, your deductible, and whether you need a referral or pre-authorization.

Out-of-network and self-pay

If your plan isn't listed above, you can still see us. We'll give you a superbill, a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Questions to ask your insurer:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health?

  • What's my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it have I met?

  • What percentage of the cost will you reimburse?

  • Do I need pre-authorization?

Session fees

  • Individual, Couple and Group Therapy session

    • Session fees vary based type of therapy receiving and on the individual therapist’s hourly rate

Free and sliding-scale counseling

If you're uninsured or underinsured, we offer sliding-scale sessions with our counseling interns, who are closely supervised by Dr. Stephanie Waitt, LPC-S, CEDS. Learn about sliding-scale counseling.

HSA, FSA and payment methods

We accept do accept HSA and FSA payments from your health/flexible savings account . Payment is due at the time of each session.
