Hannah Davis,

MA, PreLicensed Counselor

Hi and welcome to our page! My name is Davis.

Taking steps to focus on yourself and explore beneath the surface can be daunting, to say the least. It is important to find a therapist who you feel comfortable with and strives to provide a place where you are understood and valued. We aren’t meant to navigate life alone, and you deserve someone who can support you through the inevitable ebbs and flows, as well as the more painful things that you would rather keep hidden.

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Counseling Psychology at Texas Woman’s University where I am practicing how to facilitate holistic and transformative care for individuals and communities.

My Qualifications & Philosophies

I am proud to provide LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma informed, culturally responsive, sex positive, and person-centered therapy to a diverse client base. I enjoy working with adolescents/teens, emerging adults, couples, and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, life transitions, identity development, interpersonal conflict, self-esteem, spirituality concerns, religious trauma, and relationship issues (and much more).

I pull from multiple modalities to tailor my approach to the unique and individual needs of each client. I use relational-cultural therapy (RCT) to strengthen the relationships and connection you have with yourself and others. This is known to foster empowerment, support, and meaningful connection. I enjoy utilizing acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help cultivate self-awareness, mindfulness, and encourage alignment between your values and behaviors. I see you as a WHOLE person and believe therapy is most effective when you have a voice and autonomy in your own treatment journey. I often highlight strengths and build upon your capabilities to collaboratively move you closer to your goals.

Questions for Davis

  • In sessions with me you can expect to receive attentive listening, affirmation, validation, humor, and acceptance. I am someone who genuinely cares about you and your well-being. I provide a safe space to explore options for problem solving and imagining new ways engaging with ourselves and the world. Connecting you to your self-worth and most authentic self is what I do best. I will challenge patterns that keep you stuck in feelings and behaviors that no longer serve you and replace them with tools that give you access to greater fulfillment.

  • I am human, which means I am no stranger to the full spectrum of life experiences: all things from pain and isolation to freedom and inner peace. I love spending time outside, and I usually get my daily fix by sitting on my front porch or skateboarding to campus. I am a free-spirited, laid back, and passionate being.

COME, show up as you are, kick off your shoes (get comfy), take what has been causing distress off your shoulders and let’s look at it together. I can’t wait to meet you where you are at and work together to create room for who you are becoming.
