Trauma and Your Body

Good Therapy published an article on trauma and the body.  It wonderfully discusses how your body is impacted by your memories and your emotions.  A large part of trauma work involves relaxation to allow the body to relax.  When the body feels relaxed you can think more positively and feel safer.  This can help you feel in control and confident in the moment.
