Ashley Wells,

Counseling Intern

(supervised by Dr Stephanie Waitt, LPC-S, CEDS)

Hi, my name is Ashley, and I’m so glad you’re here! I am honored to have the opportunity to possibly walk alongside your healing journey.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that our experiences, relationships, and identities all shape our mental health. I see therapy as a space where you can show up as you are and where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.

I work with adults across the lifespan and support concerns including trauma and PTSD, anxiety, self-esteem, sexuality, and life transitions. I have experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and I am passionate about supporting individuals as they process and make sense of their experiences.

My work is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), attachment-based work, and relational approaches. Together, we may explore and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, build coping skills, better understand relationship patterns, and process how identity, culture, and life experiences have shaped your story.

Collaborating means we move at your pace. I’ll be there to support you, gently challenge you when it’s helpful, and help you make sense of your experiences in a way that feels empowering and meaningful to you.

If you’re considering therapy, I’d be happy to connect with you.
