Book a Session w/ Emily

Hi! I’m Emily Roden, a Counseling Intern completing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Amberton University, with graduation expected in May 2026.

I love walking alongside clients who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or stuck — especially those navigating trauma, chronic stress, and the emotional fatigue that can come with caring for a child with a chronic illness. I understand the layers of resilience, worry, and identity shifts that often show up in these seasons, and I’m here to help you find grounding, clarity, and strength as you move through them.

My approach is warm, trauma-informed, and client-centered — meaning we move at your pace and focus on what feels most meaningful to you. I draw from attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and parts-work (IFS) to help clients build insight, learn new tools, and reconnect to their inner resources.

I am also passionate about supporting individuals who are exploring their sense of self, self-worth, and body image. So many people struggle silently with feeling disconnected from their bodies, pressured by expectations, or unsure of who they are beneath all the roles they fill. I love helping clients cultivate a more compassionate relationship with themselves — one grounded in acceptance, confidence, and authentic identity rather than criticism or comparison.

My Qualifications & Philosophies

I’m especially drawn to supporting:

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout

  • Trauma and attachment wounds

  • Caregiver fatigue and parent identity challenges

  • Life transitions and shifting roles

  • Body image, self-worth, and sense of self

  • Individuals wanting to strengthen emotional awareness and self-compassion

Before counseling, I spent over 15 years raising my children while running a small business — experiences that deepen my empathy for family stress, emotional overload, and the day-to-day pressures many clients carry. I bring a grounded, compassionate presence to each session and value creating a space where you feel understood and supported.

I’m currently completing my practicum at Texoma Specialty Counseling under supervision, and I would be honored to walk with you as you pursue healing, resilience, and a deeper sense of peace in your life.
