Wellness is a holistic model that considers you play a role in your environment. You have thoughts, emotions, relationships, and hopes and dreams. You are able to make choices and you evaluate your happiness and success based on your accomplishments. Wellness means you have awareness and balance in different areas of your life. The different areas of wellness are: emotional, mental, physical, social, and spiritual.
However bad things can happen in life. Traumatic and upsetting events in your childhood, your relationships, or your daily interactions can throw off the balance in your life. These experiences can negatively impact your thinking, your emotions, your relationships, your confidence, and your ability to feel successful.
