How much does therapy cost at Texoma Specialty Counseling?
I want to protect your privacy and when working with insurance providers, at times, I am required to report frequently on your treatment and progress. I want to make sure to provide you with the best treatment and support. My goal is that our work together is not influenced by outside sources that do not have specialized training in eating disorders.
There are many reasons why I am not in network providers. The main reason is that eating disorder treatment is highly stigmatized in the insurance and medical field. I see many individuals who are denied treatment because of this reason. You have the right to use your out of network benefits, should you qualify, in order to receive specialized treatment.
Following each session, you will receive a Superbill – which is a receipt that has a code – for the insurance provider. You will be responsible to submit this to your insurance company for possible out of network reimbursement, however, I can not guarantee reimbursement as every policy and provider are different.
I am happy to assist you with your first Superbill submission to send to the insurance company. In addition, there is a possibility to work with your insurance company to reimburse you at a higher rate due to my specialization. Again, every individual and plan is different so please consult your insurance company about your benefits before you begin counseling.
Fees for service are due in full at the time of each session:
Initial intake session: $175
Individual session: $150
Online session: $150
Group Therapy: $35 – $55
Here are 7 questions that may help you when inquiring about your Out of Network benefits:
- What type of plan do I have (e.g., HMO, PPO, EPO, etc.)?
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- Does my insurance cover services for an “out of network” provider?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
I have limited space for reduced fees if qualified. Please inquire as spots can become available. In addition, I am a member of the Project HEAL Healers Circle. This allows me to provide free counseling services. If you would like to see if you qualify for free counseling, please apply for the Project HEAL Treatment Access Program.
Don’t let these fees freak you out, stress you out, or keep you from getting the help you want and deserve.
