Hey guys. I have been thinking about recovery a lot lately. I have been having recovery conversations with clients lately and we are looking at how recovery from an eating disorder is 100% possible.
Today I talk about reasons why recovery seems impossible:
– our culture
– diets are everywhere
– we are taught it is OK to shame ourselves and our bodies
I also talk about how recovery is possible. I read through the September issue of Vogue and was able to flip through the pages and not feel any shame. How is this possible?
I talk about the ways that recovery is tots doable:
1. Get help and support
2. Learn your value
3. Recognize the good you bring to the world
4. Recognize your worth (it is different than value)
5. Pour into your talents and skills
6. Be Kind to each other
