Are You Eating When You Are Hungry?

A lot of the clients I work with tell me they do not know if they are hunger. They say their body stops telling them they are hungry.

Well the body does continue to tell you are hungry, you just have to learn to listen to it. So before I tell you how to eat when hungry let me tell you a little bit about why you may stop listening to your hunger.

If you have been dieting for any length of time you have been told when to eat, what to eat, and how to eat. You were told:

To eat 5 times a day
Eat protein
Cut carbs
Cut fats
Eat before a workout
Workout while fasting
THIS IS ALL SO CONFUSING! Instead of listening to what your body needs and wants you Simply only pay attention the RULES about eating. So you forget to listen to your body.

I want you to listen to your body. Your BODY IS FREAKING AMAZING! It is so DAMN smart. It really KNOWS what it needs and wants. You DON’T have to teach your body HOW to eat. You DON’T have to teach your body WHAT to eat. You DON’T have to teach your body WHAT to eat. Your body ALREADY KNOWS!

So how do you know you are hungry and what to eat?

Here are some things to cue you are hungry:
stomach growling
Headache, lightheadedness, difficulty concentrating
Irritable, cranky mood – Y’all Hangry is a real thing!
Low energy

If you are feeling these things ask yourself this:

what time is it?
How long has it been since I have eaten?
Am I hungry?

After you answer these questions, EAT! EAT WHAT EVER YOU WANT!!!
